Q. What does EmailLabs do?

A:
EmailLabs provides clients with advanced email marketing software technology (ASP/hosted or installed software) that enables companies to manage and segment their lists, create and send emails and track and analyze results. We do not provide email lists or other data. Our clients, such as PalmSource, Olympus, Washington Mutual and hundreds of others use our technology to enhance customer relationships via their permission-based lists. The vast majority of our clients opt for our ASP (Web-based) software. We also provide professional consulting services and support that enable our clients to greatly improve the ROI from their email marketing program. We also offer email marketing tips, articles and tools in the industry's leading Email Marketing Resource Center. If you need more information, feel free to contact us.

Q. How is EmailLabs technology deployed?

A:
While the majority of EmailLabs' clients prefer the ASP/hosted software model, we also offer a managed hosted software solution. For more information, visit our Deployment Options page.

Q. What is the pricing for EmailLabs' email marketing software and services?

A:
ASP/Hosted: For our hosted (Web-based) software our contract minimum is $500 per month, which typically includes up to 10,000 emails per month, set-up, application training and support. We offer a volume-based discounting model based on the client's monthly email volume commitment. A higher monthly email volume commitment decreases the cost per email rate.

Professional Services: Best Practices training, additional application training, feature customization, HTML design services and marketing/deliverability audits and consulting services are priced based on the specific needs of each client.

Please contact us to discuss your requirements and questions, or register for a personalized demonstration of our application and to receive a specific price quote for our application or professional services.

Q. Does EmailLabs provide, rent or sell email lists?

A:
EmailLabs does not rent, sell or share email lists. To become a client of EmailLabs you must have your own permission-based list. We provide the advanced technology and professional consulting services that enable marketers to maximize their ROI from their permission-based email marketing program. We can refer you to companies that do rent email lists (these are one time use only, except for recipients who subsequently opt-in to your list) and offer recommendations on how to obtain permission from a customer or prospect list. For tips on how to grow your list, please check out the article 28 Ways to Build Permission-Based Email Lists and other email list building/managing articles.

Q. Does EmailLabs allow clients to send non-permission-based emails?

A:
No. All emails sent through the EmailLabs system must have permission from the recipient. Double (confirmed) opt-in is preferred, but single opt-in is acceptable. Read our views on spam. Contact us if you have questions about your list or need advice on how to gain permission from your existing list members.

Q. Will EmailLabs sell, rent or share my lists or database?

A:
No. EmailLabs provides our clients with services that include customer database management and analysis, email delivery, email tracking and Web site tracking. For all clients, EmailLabs is contractually bound to keep customer data private and prevent sharing of data across multiple clients. For example, if one of our client's customers has two email addresses, and these addresses are stored in our database, we may not share this fact with another client, even if the second client has the same customer as the first client. View our Privacy Policy.

Q. Does EmailLabs offer creative design and consulting services?

A:
Yes. EmailLabs' clients frequently use our services team for advice on designing and programming HTML email templates; and for email and delivery audits, Best Practices training sessions, strategy and improvement recommendations and more. Learn more or contact a sales representative who can outline a services program that meets your specific needs.

Q. Does EmailLabs offer pre-designed HTML templates? Do you charge for them?

A:
Yes. We offer a number of HTML templates for ecommerce, newsletters and promotional emails that your designers and programmers can modify and customize to your company's specific needs. We do not charge for the use of these templates, and we can recommend resources if a company needs custom templates designed. We highly recommend that all companies develop custom emails designed for their specific objectives.

Q. Does EmailLabs offer training?

A:
Yes, EmailLabs offers training. One-time training on using the application is offered standard as part of the setup for all new clients (up to 10 participants maximum). Additional training options are also available including advanced sessions, feature-specific, additional user and Best Practices sessions. Training can be conducted via either teleconference, at EmailLabs offices or a client location. Contact your EmailLabs sales representative for more information.

Q. Does EmailLabs offer best practices training sessions?

A:
Yes. We offer in-person and Web-based Best Practices sessions that are customized to each client's specific interests and needs. Our recommended approach is a 4-hour in-person session that includes every person within your organization that is involved in the email marketing process. A strategic roadmap or email design session is frequently incorporated into these sessions.

Q. Does EmailLabs have people dedicated to ISP Relations and Deliverability issues?

A:
Yes. Our ISP Relations and Deliverability department is very active in the ISP/Deliverability community, and consults with EmailLabs' clients on content, design and list hygiene issues to minimize potential email delivery issues.  They are also responsible for creating and enforcing EmailLabs strict Usage and Anti-Spam policies, maintaining ISP and community relations, and overseeing all abuse and policy investigations and inquiries.  EmailLabs is a member of the SpamCon Foundation, ESPC and MAAWG, and our Director of Consulting Services, Stefan Pollard, is a ClickZ "E-Mail Delivery" columnist. For more information, read about our Delivery Policies and ISP Relations/Delivery Services.

Q. Does EmailLabs have a partner program?

A:

Q. Does EmailLabs offer a private-label solution so I can resell your technology to my clients?

A:
Yes. Nearly one-fourth of EmailLabs' clients have chosen to partner with us to offer a world-class private-label solution to their clients. For more information visit our private-label solution page or download our Agency Solutions brochure (PDF).

Q. Does the EmailLabs solution allow me to create dynamic emails?

A.
Yes. You can create very simple "dynamic" emails using our personalization tags, or robust emails using our Dynamic Message Assembly function that enables you to create one-to-one emails for the end recipient. Dynamic Message Assembly (referred to also as dynamic content, dynamic segmentation and content assembly or content customization) is the ability to create a single email template that delivers different, personalized emails to your customers based upon their demographic profile and preferences.

This feature enables you to take email personalization to a higher level, beyond simply merging an email with the recipient's first name. With dynamic message assembly, you can send an entire email that is individualized for each customer, based on their profile, preferences and actions. Using dynamic message assembly, your customers will receive extremely relevant emails that are tailored to their individual interests. View more information on our Dynamic Message Assembly feature.

Q. Does EmailLabs have a free trial offer?

A.
No. EmailLabs does not offer a 30- or 60-day free trial account as do many low-end providers in the industry. EmailLabs offers an advanced solution to demanding clients. As such we will allow prospective clients that have gone though a personalized demo to have access to a demo account to become more familiar with the interface and features. Request a personalized demo.
