What is Dynamic Message Assembly?

Dynamic Message Assembly (referred also as dynamic content, dynamic segmentation and content assembly or content customization) is the ability to create a single email template that delivers different, personalized emails to your customers based upon their demographic profile and preferences.

This feature enables you to take email personalization to a higher level, beyond simply merging an email with the recipient's first name. With dynamic message assembly, you can send an entire email that is individualized for each customer, based on their profile, preferences and actions. Using dynamic message assembly, your customers will receive extremely relevant emails that are tailored to their individual interests.

For Customers

  • Customers receive only the information they want.
  • Customers can quickly find the information or products of interest to them.

How EmailLabs Dynamic Message Assembly  Feature Works

1. Email Template

Your company or EmailLabs creates a template that contains the  desired "content blocks" in which the variable content (text, images,  logos, etc.) will reside. These content blocks in the template include embedded "if/then" statements that determine which content sources are assembled for each recipient.

2. List Database/Filters

Your list database is set up with detailed demographic variables that you create - location, age, job title, company size, sex, etc. From your specific demographics, a filter is then created that selects subscribers that meet  the filter specifics about categories or actions they've taken . That will then be matched with the appropriate content.

3. Assembly and Distribution

The emails are then scheduled for delivery by our Message Scheduler and passed  onto the personalization engine. The personalization engine preprocesses the  message, sets it up for tracking and personalization and performs the mail  merge and dynamic content functions.

How You Can Use Dynamic Message Assembly

  • Publishing/eNewsletters - Create multiple versions of an e-newsletter using a single template and distribution that integrate multiple sources of content.
  • Customer Support Response Emails - Respond to customer inquiries in real time with "personalized" responses based upon the nature of the customer request, their profile and the appropriate response.
  • Lead Response Emails - Build an email response to a prospective customer who has completed a Web-based form, based on their location, size of company, job title, product/service interest, purchase timeline, quality of lead, etc.
  • Ecommerce Promotions - Create a single ecommerce email that is dynamically generated with product information that is specific to a customer's preferences, past purchase habits, demographics, previous email actions - all using a single email template.
  • Notification Emails - Notify customers of breaking news, product availability, scheduled service, etc. - using a single template, but based upon a user's pre-selected preference or profile.
