Senior Network Systems Engineer

We're looking for a Senior Network Systems Engineer to join our team!

• Manage and monitor systems to drive troubleshooting and tuning
• First and second tier resolution of production issues and alerts
• Understand all components of the site infrastructure in order to analyze impact of alarms and other system messages
• Resolve errors and alarms quickly and provide timely escalation
• Complete tasks required to maintain service levels and availability of all site features and functions
• Pager Rotation Duty, responding to pager notifications in a timely manner
• Work on projects as directed and needed by company direction

• BS in technical field or equivalent experience
• 5 years system administration experience
• 5 years Linux administration, setup, configure, troubleshoot, clustering
• Solid knowledge of operating system internals, file system structures, and machine architectures in a UNIX and Windows operating systems
• Experience with common system administration tools
• Working experience with scripting tools, Perl and UNIX shell scripting
• Knowledge of relational databases preferably MySQL
• Proven problem solving skills with an emphasis on quick problem resolution
• Ability to work on many tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure environment
• Basic LAN and WAN network knowledge
• Experience with web development technologies like HTML, PHP, XML, XSL, Java
• Networking and trouble shooting, Cisco, Netscreen, Switches
• VMware knowledge
• SAN, Netapp and Hitachi
