EmailLabs Wins Stevie Award in 4th Annual American Business Awards
Lena Waters, Director of Marketing, Selected as Best Marketer
MENLO PARK, Calif. (June 19, 2006)--Lena Waters, Director of Marketing at EmailLabs (www.emaillabs.com), the leader in high-performance email marketing technology and a subsidiary of J.L. Halsey (OTCBB:LYRI.OB), was selected as the winner for "Best Marketer" in the 4th annual American Business Awards. This is EmailLabs second Stevie Award, as Loren McDonald, Vice President of Marketing, won for "Best Marketing Executive" in 2005.
More than 1,500 entries from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration in more than 40 categories including, Best Overall Company, Best Executive, and Best Corporate Social Responsibility Program. Members of the Awards' Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and their staffs selected Stevie winners from among the Finalists. Finalists were chosen by business professionals nationwide during preliminary judging in earlier this year.
Ms. Waters has more than eight years experience in business-to-business marketing with a focus on interactive and online marketing. As Director of Marketing at EmailLabs, she is responsible for managing demand and lead generation for the sales team, as well as synchronizing messaging with the sales and product teams to promote new product developments. She has established new print, online, search and email advertising programs across several vertical markets, supported the sales team through managing collateral and Web site content creation, and implemented a Key Performance Indicator reporting matrix to measure and improve the effectiveness of all lead generation and branding programs. As a direct result of her efforts, sales leads in 2005 increased 153% over 2004.
"We are pleased to have Lena recognized for her outstanding achievements by the American Business Awards," said Jim Herbold, general manager at EmailLabs. "This Stevie Award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of all EmailLabs employees and our commitment to email marketing leadership."
Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word "crowned," the awards were presented during ceremonies at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. The ceremonies were hosted by CNN business news anchor Ali Velshi, videocast live on the Internet, and broadcast nationwide on radio.
