The dictionary
definition of privacy is freedom from unsanctioned intrusion. However,
most consumers are familiar with the telemarketing phone calls and
unsolicited email they receive on a daily basis. The right of privacy
is becoming a larger issue, not just in email marketing but in the
world in general. Spammers are being sued for unsolicited email
they send, mobile cell phone companies are debating on whether location-based
services (which would pinpoint exactly where you are at all times)
are a public safety feature or an invasion of privacy, and the United
States is looking into appointing its own Chief Privacy Officer
to ensure the privacy of the people of the Unites States. Is privacy
an issue today? You bet your ROI it is.
But how does
this relate to you? With the spotlight on privacy, your company's
privacy practices may be more important than you realize to the
customers you deal with. In a study done by Quris/Executive Summary
Consulting, US email users were asked to rate privacy practices
from a scale of 1 to 5. How do you rate on their scale? <<click

Email Marketing
is about more than just sending a simple email to your customers.
It's a cost-effective way of branding your company name, of actually
reaching your customers on a more private level. In a recent AOL/RoperASW
study, consumers reported checking their email on an average of
13.1 times a week. It was listed second only to brushing their teeth
(at 14.5 times a week.) Email is a daily part of a consumer's life
and not one that you can afford to miss out on.
Not sure about
what ways you can effectively use email marketing? We've gathered
a list and some samples of how our customers are using EmailLabs
to market themselves through email.
